Description

NAD+ is the oxidized form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It is a dinucleotide coenzyme rather than a peptide. NAD+ and NADH are the oxidized and reduced members of the same coenzyme pair.

The dinucleotide structure contains two nucleotide components linked through phosphate groups. These coenzyme forms are studied in biochemical redox systems.
